Baylor vs. Utah: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Baylor vs. Utah football game
The Baylor Bears will be playing at home against the Utah Utes at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at McLane Stadium.
Baylor couldn't capitalize on their home-turf advantage in their season opener. They fell 42-31 to Texas State on Saturday. Baylor didn't live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game.
Despite the loss, Baylor had strong showings from QB Blake Shapen, who threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns on 31 attempts, and TE Drake Dabney, who found the endzone twice on 101 receiving yards. Dabney's longest reception was for 53 yards. While his performance might not make the highlight reel, K Isaiah Hankins loomed large in the final result, having booted in three field goals and two extra points.
Meanwhile, Utah beat Florida 24-11 on Thursday. Utah pushed the score to 24-3 by the end of the third, a deficit Florida had littlechance of recovering from.
Baylor will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with a 7-6 record against the spread.
While the Bears is hoping for a better result this time, the Utes is hoping to keep the momentum going. Check CBS Sports after the matchup to see if Baylor succeed or if Utah can keep it going.
