FAU vs. Tulsa updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Florida Atlantic vs. Tulsa football game
FAU has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at 6:00 p.m. ET on Saturday. FAU is limping into the match on a three-game losing streak.
FAU started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Illinois. They fell to the Fighting Illini 23-17.
Even though the team lost, they still saw several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Lajohntay Wester, who picked up 137 receiving yards and a touchdown. Those 137 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Wester. Daniel Richardson had a good game as well, finishing with 256 passing yards and two touchdowns in total.
FAU's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Marlon Bradley and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Tulsa was not the first on the board last Thursday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on Temple with a sharp 48-26 win. With that victory, Tulsa brought their scoring average up to 27.4 points per game.
Cardell Williams was on fire as he threw for 244 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes. He was also active on the ground, having rushed for 90 yards and a score on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquis Shoulders, who picked up 76 receiving yards.
Tulsa's win bumped their season record to 3-2 while FAU's defeat dropped theirs to 1-3.
While only Tulsa took care of their fans the last time they played, both teams pleased bettors by covering the spread. Looking ahead, FAU is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by four points. This contest might not be the best time to bet them against the spread since they've let bettors down the last three times they've played.
