FAU vs. UTSA: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Florida Atlantic vs. UTSA football game
FAU is 2-0 against UTSA since November of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The FAU Owls will be playing in front of their home fans against the UTSA Roadrunners at 10:00 p.m. ET at FAU Stadium. UTSA is favored, but seeing as the odds didn't stop FAU in their last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.
The third road game was the charm for FAU, as they earned their first road win of the season. They claimed a resounding 56-14 victory over South Florida on the road. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point FAU had established a 28 point advantage.
Daniel Richardson was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.6% of his passes. Tony Johnson also helped out as he racked up 131 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, UTSA got the win against UAB on Sunday by a conclusive 41-20. The win made it back-to-back wins for UTSA.
Kevorian Barnes and Robert Henry were among the main playmakers for UTSA as the former rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns and the latter rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Joshua Cephus was in the mix as well, providing UTSA with two touchdowns.
UTSA's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Trey Moore and his 3.5 sacks.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-3.
Not only did both teams in this Saturday's contest win their last matches, they also took care of their bettors and covered the spread. Looking ahead, UTSA is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by four points. This will be FAU's first time playing as the underdogs at home this season.
