The UTSA Roadrunners bagged a 37-30 win over the Illinois Fighting Illini on Saturday.
The Roadrunners' offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 20 first-half points. Illinois countered with 14 points. The offense for UTSA continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 17 points to put the game away.
UTSA's victory brought them up to 1-0. The loss dropped Illinois back to even at 1-1.
UTSA will take on the Lamar Cardinals at 6 p.m. ET next Saturday at Alamodome. Like the Roadrunners, Lamar is also coming into the contest bolstered by a recent win. As for the Fighting Illini, they will face off against the Virginia Cavaliers at 11 a.m. ET next Saturday at David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium.
