Illinois vs. Wisconsin Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Illinois vs. Wisconsin football game
Wisconsin has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Illinois Fighting Illini at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Wisconsin come into this contest with the #78 defense in the league, having only allowed 18 points per game on average this season.
The point spread may have favored Wisconsin last Saturday, but the final result did not. They fell 15-6 to Iowa. Despite 87 more yards than Iowa, Wisconsin couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Meanwhile, Illinois' game on Saturday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Maryland 27-24.
Illinois got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Altmyer out in front who threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Kaden Feagin and his 84 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Illinois' win.
Illinois' victory bumped their season record to 3-5 while Wisconsin's loss dropped theirs to 5-2.
Looking ahead, Wisconsin is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by three points. This contest will be their eighth straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 3-4 against the spread).
Wisconsin suffered a grim 34-10 defeat to Illinois in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Can Wisconsin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
