Nebraska vs. Northwestern: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Nebraska vs. Northwestern football game
Northwestern has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Northwestern Wildcats and the Nebraska Cornhuskers will face off in a Big Ten West battle at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Tom Osborne Field at Memorial Stadium. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two weeks ago, Northwestern sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-20 victory over Howard. The overall outcome was as expected, but Howard made it much more of a contest than the oddsmakers had predicted.
Northwestern can attribute much of their success to Brendan Sullivan, who threw for 131 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Meanwhile, Nebraska was able to grind out a solid win over Illinois two weeks ago, taking the game 20-7. The victory was just what Nebraska needed coming off of a 45-7 defeat in their prior matchup.
Nobody from Nebraska had a standout game, but they got scores from Heinrich Haarberg and Anthony Grant.
The victory got Northwestern back to even at 3-3. As for Nebraska, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.
Northwestern is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss.
Northwestern skirted past Nebraska 31-28 when the teams last played back in August of 2022. Will Northwestern repeat their success, or does Nebraska have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
