Old Dominion vs. Coastal Carolina: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Old Dominion vs. Coastal Carolina football game
The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will head out on the road to face off against the Old Dominion Monarchs at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium. Coastal Carolina is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
Last Saturday, Coastal Carolina really took it to Marshall for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-6 victory at home. Coastal Carolina pushed the score to 27-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Marshall had little chance of recovering from.
Coastal Carolina's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jared Brown, who picked up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Jarrett Guest, who threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.5 yards per attempt.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Old Dominion had to settle for a 30-27 loss against James Madison on Saturday.
Coastal Carolina's victory lifted them to 5-3 while Old Dominion's defeat dropped them down to 4-4.
While only Coastal Carolina took care of their fans the last time they played, both teams pleased bettors by covering the spread. As for their next game, the contest is expected to be close, with Old Dominion going off as just a 1-point favorite. The pair have both performed well against the spread, with Coastal Carolina at 6-2 and Old Dominion at 3-1 ATS.
Coastal Carolina was pulverized by Old Dominion 49-21 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Coastal Carolina, Blake Watson (who rushed for 259 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check CBSSports.com after the match to find out.
