Coastal Carolina fell flat on their face against James Madison back in November, but memory of that harsh loss doesn't seem to have tripped them up today. Coastal Carolina has a bit of a cushion as they currently lead San Jose State 17-0. Coastal Carolina's offense has been firing on all cylinders thus far, outscoring their total from back in November with time still left to play.
Coastal Carolina entered the match with two straight losses and they're well on their way to making it three. Can they turn things around, or will San Jose State hand them another loss? Only time will tell.

The San Jose State Spartans and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will square off in the Hawaii Bowl at Clarence T.C. Ching Complex 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. San Jose State will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak dating back to last season.
San Jose State has more to be thankful for after their game against UNLV back in November. San Jose State secured a 37-31 W over UNLV.
Among those leading the charge was Kairee Robinson, who rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Chevan Cordeiro was another key contributor, throwing for 249 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes.
Special teams played a big role in the game for San Jose State, adding 13 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Kyler Halvorsen: he added nine points with three field goals, and another four kicking extra points.
Meanwhile, Coastal Carolina gave up the first points and the most points back in November. They were dealt a punishing 56-14 defeat at the hands of James Madison. Coastal Carolina was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Despite the loss, Coastal Carolina got a solid performance out of Ethan Vasko, who threw for 254 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
San Jose State pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points per game. As for Coastal Carolina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
San Jose State is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss.
