Top DJ Turner News

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: Won't receive tender

The Raiders decided to not tender Turner (knee) on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Turner missed Las Vegas' final five games of the 2024 season due to a knee injury that landed him on injured reserve. However, he was fairly productive when on the field, catching 16 of his 29 targets for 158 yards and one touchdown. The Pittsburgh product also added five carries for 33 yards and one touchdown on the ground last season, playing 162 offensive snaps across 12 appearances. Fowler reported that the Raiders are open to bringing Turner back to Las Vegas, but only at a price lower than the tender.

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: To be restricted free agent

Turner (knee) secured 16 of 29 targets for 158 yards and one touchdown across 12 regular-season games with the Raiders in 2024. He also rushed for 33 yards and one touchdown on five carries and compiled 106 kick return yards and 77 punt return yards.

Turner produced career-best numbers before landing on IR in early December due to a Week 13 knee injury. The 28-year-old is slated to be a restricted free agent this offseason, meaning he'll be allowed to negotiate with other teams, but Las Vegas will retain the right to match any offer he might receive.

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: Moves to IR

The Raiders placed Turner (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.

The severity of the knee injury Turner suffered in this past Friday's 19-17 loss to Kansas City isn't fully known, but he'll be sidelined until at least Week 18 as a result of his move to IR. After handling a light role to begin the season, Turner logged double-digit snaps in each of the Raiders' last 10 games. He has turned in a 16-158-1 receiving line on 29 targets to go with five carries for 33 yards and another touchdown over his 12 appearances on the season.

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: Hurts knee in Friday's game

Turner (knee) is questionable to return to Friday's game against the Chiefs.

Turner caught his only target for 25 yards prior to getting hurt. He also returned two kickoffs for 49 yards and had a nine-yard punt return. Dylan Laube, Ameer Abdullah and Tre Tucker are candidates to return kickoffs and punts if Turner doesn't return.

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: Earns four targets in loss

Turner caught two of four targets for five yards in Sunday's 29-19 loss to the Broncos. He also returned two punts for 14 yards.

Turner has earned just seven total targets over the Raiders' past three games, resulting in five catches for 34 yards. Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker combined for a 17-203-0 receiving line on 23 total targets Sunday, and rookie tight end Brock Bowers is also clearly ahead of Turner on the route tree. Nonetheless, Turner figures to retain the No. 3 WR role against Kansas City in Week 13.

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: Three catches in loss

Turner secured all three targets for 29 yards and returned one kickoff for 31 yards in the Raiders' 34-19 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Turner bounced back from not drawing a single target in a Week 9 loss to the Bengals to post his second-highest catch total of the season. The third-year pro and fellow complementary wideout Tre Tucker seem to be stuck in a similar plight within the heavily concentrated Raiders air attack, that being having the misfortune of playing behind the high-usage duo of Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers. Turner will remain a highly speculative fantasy option in a tough Week 12 home matchup against the Broncos.

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: Zero touches in loss to Bengals

Turner returned two punts for 30 yards in Sunday's 41-24 loss to the Bengals, but he was not targeted in the passing game.

Turner's offensive snap share dipped to 34.0 percent while the newly signed Ramel Keyton emerged behind fellow wide receivers Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker, with Turner ultimately being held without a single touch for the first time since Week 3. Ahead of the Raiders' Week 10 bye, Turner has posted a 10-99-1 receiving line on 21 total targets through the first nine games of the season.

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: First career receiving TD in loss

Turner caught all four of his targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-20 loss to Kansas City. He also rushed once for four yards and returned a punt for 17 yards.

His offensive snap share dipped to 53 percent with Jakobi Meyers back in the lineup, but Turner still out-produced Tre Tucker, who finished the contest with a 2-26-0 receiving line. Turner has caught eight total passes for 78 yards and a score over the Raiders' past three games, and they're expected to be playing from behind again in Week 9 against the Bengals.

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: Targeted seven times Sunday

Turner caught two of seven targets for 13 yards and also returned one punt for seven yards in Sunday's 20-15 loss to the Rams.

Turner logged 75 of a possible 79 offensive snaps while earning a career-high seven targets with fellow wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (ankle) inactive for a second straight game, but the attention given to Turner from quarterbacks Aidan O'Connell (thumb) and Gardner Minshew didn't amount to much fantasy production. Meyers' potential Week 8 return from injury would result in a demotion for Turner into the No. 3 role, but he remains somewhat relevant following Davante Adams' departure to the Jets. Regardless, rookie sensation Brock Bowers continues to command a significant portion of the target share among this struggling aerial attack.

  • Raiders' DJ Turner: Makes two receptions in loss

Turner hauled in two of four targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Steelers.

The third-year wideout drew the start across from Tre Tucker in the absence of both Davante Adams (hamstring) and Jakobi Meyers (ankle), with Turner ultimately logging 42 of 63 offensive snaps. His day was highlighted by a 30-yard reception on the Raiders' final drive of the third quarter, which marked the team's only play of 20-plus yards in the entire contest. Turner has seen exactly four targets in back-to-back games, but Meyers at least appears on track to return from his ankle injury in Week 7 against the Rams.
